WHO ARE WE?
InspireIndia is a youth-led social enterprise dedicated to political literacy, empowering students to become active citizens. Through interactive workshops across India, we foster leadership, communication, and civic engagement. Our 3-hour sessions combine discussions and exercises to maximize participation and impact.
WHY US?
InspireIndia was created by students, for students. It provides a platform for peer-to-peer learning, equipping participants with essential skills for capacity building and beyond. Our modern teaching methods and ongoing engagement ensure a lasting impact within the InspireIndia community.

Critical Thinking Skills
Critical thinking helps individuals assess situations, identify biases, and make informed decisions. Our workshops focus on developing problem-solving abilities, fostering strategic approaches, and encouraging deep analysis to provide participants with a solid framework for unbiased decision-making.
Identifying different leadership strategies.
Workshops teach students how to apply learned skills in real-world scenarios, from problem-solving and debate to responsible social media use. InspireIndia emphasizes capacity building by helping students translate concepts into impactful, practical actions.
Establishing Effective Communication Strategies.
Our workshops inspire continued exploration beyond sessions, motivating participants to stay informed, engage in global politics, and shape a conscious society. We equip young leaders with the tools to implement the change they envision.

Who is this for?
InspireIndia workshops are designed to build a strong foundation for youth, catering to students from Grade 9 to 12. The content is adaptable, allowing for customization based on the audience. With varied examples and explanations, our workshops can effectively engage and educate a wide range of students.
MODULE 1
NAVIGATING THE NEW WORLD ORDER: A WORKSHOP ON INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS ESSENTIALS
TOPICS COVERED
Understanding the New World Order after World War II - Understanding postmodern global power structures and establishments, the reasons behind the need for global cooperation, and the power dynamics of the era.
Breaking down Multilateral Bodies - Understanding the roles of multilateral organisations such as the United Nations, European Union, the Bretton Woods Institutions and their respective roles.
Understanding International Law - Understanding IL as a non-binding social contract between countries for orderly coexistence. Why countries choose to follow it, what makes IL effective and how it is maintained.
Breaking Down International Customary Law - Understanding the role of customs and on what grounds they are established as underlining principles of global cooperation.
Geopolitics and Geoeconomics - The trainers will explain the weightage of political and economic power and how these two forces help a country establish it’s strength and position in the world order.
Importance of Trade in Diplomacy - The workshop will also delve into the importance of trade and how it contributes toward globalisation and international interdependence and how trade establishes itself as a detrimental factor in maitnaing international peace and non-conflict.
Introduction to Theories of IR - This section of the seminar will aim to softly introduce the concepts of constructivism, realism, feminism, marxism and liberalism on a foundational level.
MODULE 1
STRUCTURE
Lecture Portion (90
mins | We’ll deliver a lecture that incorporates a
thoughtful and handpicked selection of resources,
interactions and addresses so that students are
engaged whilst the stage is set for further work in
the seminar. |
Discourse Session
(approx 25 mins) | The session will segway into a session that
incorporates debate and conversation amongst
the students, building on what’s been discussed in
the lecture. Discourse is a big part of
workshopping to assimilate perspectives and
foster vision and clarity |
Workshopping
(approx 45 mins) | A practical session will bring the theory and
discussions into practice. This will ensure the
students ‘get their hands dirty’ and become
involved in an experience that brings global
politics into the classroom. Students will be
divided into opposing nation blocs and tasked
with problem-solving in a crisis through
negotiation. |
Resource Drive
and Future Plan
(approx 15 mins) | We’ll conduct a research drive where we talk
about good resources to use and provide students
with a repository which will be a toolkit for
students to hone their knowledge post workshop.
We will provide students a resource pool which
will be updated regularly to maintain constant
engagement. |
MODULE 2
THE LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP: BREAKING DOWN THE CONCEPT OF LEADERSHIP AND ANALYSING IT’S ASPECTS
TOPICS COVERED
Leadership Approaches - We explore the multifaceted aspects of leadership, encompassing transformational, servant, and situational leadership styles. We also examine the interplay of these styles and how different situations call for different approaches.
Objective Critical Thinking - Understanding how to break problems down to simplify issues and creating holistic solutions to issues using critical thinking.
The Self-improvement Loophole- Understanding the paradox of self improvement and discussing how to avoid allowing self-improvement cycles to turn into self-defeating mechanisms and create effective dynamic systems instead.

Effective Communication—Here, we aim to establish a set of principles to follow when communicating to ensure maximum coherence and assertiveness. This segment will cover how to deal with criticism effectively and understand voice and conduct.
Effective Practices—Here, we cover the habits an effective leader maintains to keep growing and learning, drawing examples from the practices of leaders worldwide.
Understanding Active Citizenship - This segment of the workshop aims to introduce to the students the concept of active citizenship and how a leader can effectively work on the self as well as the collective for mutual benefit.

Self (30 mins) | We’ll deliver a lecture incorporating a thoughtful
and handpicked selection of resources,
interactions and addresses so that students are
engaged. At the same time, the stage is set for
further work in the seminar |
Learning
Effective
Communication
(45 mins) | We will delve into understanding what makes a
good communicator, how voice and presence
contribute to assertiveness, and how to deal with
criticism and uncooperative crowds. |
Exercise
Leadership
Approaches
(approximately 40
mins) | An exercise will be conducted through a series of
games. Participants will be divided into teams,
with each team characterised by a different
leadership approach.
The exercise aims to show how the same
leadership approach is ineffective in different
situations |
Problem-solving
through Critical
Thinking (50 mins) | Participants will be stimulated to understand how
problem-solving approaches and objective
solving and critical thinking work. We will delve
into different elements of analytical approaches to
even the most basic issues, eventually leading to
solving a large issue at hand. Crisis Management
will also be covered here. |
MODULE 3
THE POLITICS PLAYGROUND: UNDERSTANDING KEY THEORIES OF GOVERNANCE
TOPICS COVERED
Aristotle and Athenian School of Thought - Understabndsing the origins of political temper and scientific thought. Aristotle’s political beliefs and vision of the state.
Hobbes, Locke and Rousseau - Breaking down classical political thought and presenting ideas of the state as imagined by Hobbes with the Leviathan and Locke and Rousseau’s versions of the social contract and state of nature
Marx, Communism and Socialism - Breaking down the basics of the communist ideology with reference to the communist manifesto, the capitalist critique and covering concepts like commodity fetishism.
Understanding the basics of democratic principles from Westphalian influences in governance, the role of the French Revolution and origin of the ideals of liberty, fraternity and equality in the state
DIctatorships and Monarchies - Undertsatnding the functioning of autocracies and role of monarchs in the modern day
Effective Practices—Here, we cover the habits an effective leader maintains to keep growing and learning, drawing examples from the practices of leaders worldwide.
Totalitarianism vs Authoritarianism- Understanding the difference in the functioning of totalitarian states and authoritarian states
MODULE 3
STRUCTURE
Lecture Portion
Establishing the
Basics (30 mins) | The session will open with developing a basic
understanding of a state, the role of the individual
as a citizen in society, and the meaning of a civil
society and a social contract. |
Classical Political
Thought (60 mins) | After establishing the basics, the workshop will
explore the ideas of Aristotle, Hobbes, Locke and
Rousseau to break down how society was
envisioned before the industrial revolution. |
Communism vs
Democracy (60
mins lecture + 20
mins debate) | In this half of the session, participants will be
divided into two blocs (one representing
communism and the other democracy).
The trainers will cover the basics of each
governance pattern and then foster debate
among the representatives of the two blocs. |
Totalitarianism,
Authoritarian and
other forms of
Governance(40
mins) | Participants will then be taken through other
forms of governance, inspired by real-world
examples and correct affairs. We will weigh the
accountability of other fordifferent state
infrastructure post, which participants will then
engage in a discourse on what form of
governance they find most appealing. |
